April 30, 2019 12:42 pm

The Fijian Competition and Consumer Commission has found anomalies while investigating the issues in relation to the Lagilagi Housing Project.

FCCC was tasked to carry out investigation into the affairs of the People’s Community Network in January following complaints in relation to the project.

While not revealing the details of these anomalies, Chief Executive Joel Abraham says they have completed their investigation and a report has been handed to the Housing Minister.

“We have done the investigation. We have found certain issues. We have given the report back to the Minister and we should be making an announcement soon.”

The project had started ten years ago to provide better housing for people living in informal settlements in Jittu Estate.

PCN was given twelve-point-seven-million dollars by the Government for the project, however work was not delivered as promised.
