The Commission will also ensure the health, safety and well-being of all women and men workers, promote education, training and professional development for women.

They will also implement enterprise development, supply chain and marketing practices that empower women, promote equality through community initiatives and advocacy and measure and publicly report on progress to achieve gender equality.

Abraham says there is a need to consider women’s empowerment due to years of neglect of women’s right especially the right for economic participation.

He adds that we need to work together to respect and promote equal opportunities for women in the workplace and in the economy.
