Fiji Broadcasting Corporation will contribute five percent of their revenue from all paid advertisements from March to April towards the Prime Minister’s Cyclone Rehabilitation Fund.

FBC Chief Executive Officer, Riyaz Sayed-Khaiyum says they have taken this initiative to help families that were affected by Severe Tropical Cyclone Winston.

Sayed-Khaiyum says FBC will also be re-broadcasting 50 percent of all client schedules aired between February 20th to February 27th due to the loss of signal caused by the Cyclone in the Western and Northern Division.

He says FBC staff is also willing to pledge their annual leave days so that it can then be deducted and converted into cash for the fund.

He adds this move hopefully will encourage other business and companies in helping communities that were devastated by the Cyclone.
