Farming household commencing survey

The Ministry of Agriculture is continuing the scheme with the aim to up skill farmers in changing their mind sets from subsistence to commercial farming.

The establishing of the Family Household survey is to assist the Ministry in reducing import of goods.

Ministry of Agriculture Chief Economist, Pauliasi Tuilau says the initiative is a nationwide project.

With the ginger marketing that was recently opened in Australia, the Agriculture Ministry is aiming to focus on exporting more commodities with the help of individual farmers.

The Ministry spent approximately $300 000 in conducting this scheme.
