Farmers are urged to take precautionary measures as a Tropical Cyclone warning is in force for the country.

The Agriculture Ministry says farmers need to take necessary precautions in securing their property and livestock.

Farmers, who reside in flood prone areas, are advised to move animals, machineries and farm implements to higher grounds and secure their livestock sheds.

The Ministry says farmers can also move planting materials to higher grounds.
