Farmers of Balevuto and Toge in Ba have been urged to remain committed to their farms and farming endeavors despite the occurrence of natural disasters.
Assistant Minister for Agriculture, Viam Pillay while responding to issues brought up by farmers regarding flooding, stressed the need for farmers to remain dedicated to their farms as natural disasters were inevitable.
He adds the ministry is aware of the impact flooding has on farms as they have already visited flood affected areas and will work accordingly to see how best they can assist.
Farmers were also reassured that issues raised during an informal discussion held yesterday will be addressed.
