Yaqona farmers in Kadavu have been advised to strengthen the formation of clusters so they can coordinate their activities to increase revenue.

Speaking to the members of the Kadavu Kava Association, Agriculture Minister, Inia Seruiratu, stressed on the importance of collaboration and partnering with the Ministry to improve the services rendered to them.

Seruiratu says the Government can bring the expertise and technology to the farms but it is advisable that farmers work together and share the resources.

The Association recently concluded a week-long tour of the Central Division, visiting farms, processors and prospective markets to improve their knowledge and build networks with some key stakeholders in the local kava industry.
