Farmers and its organization were given a platform to exchange information regarding non-agricultural sector policies and regulations.

This as Fiji Crop-Livestock Council organized a workshop for them in collaboration with the Ministry of Agriculture.

Agriculture Minister Mahendra Reddy says through this avenue farmers were able to identify issues, challenges and opportunities available for them and their organization.

Reddy says it enabled the farmers to understand the agriculture policies and regulations and related support services provided by other supporters.

He adds the two-day workshop enabled the formulation of goals and strategies for farmers and farmer’s organization for higher productivity and income, improved livelihood and food security.
