A 34-year-old farmer from Naitasiri is in custody at the Totogo Police Station for allegedly stabbing his wife yesterday afternoon.

Police confirm the alleged incident took place along Rona Street in Walu Bay outside Suva.

The suspect allegedly stabbed his 34-year-old wife several times after she refused to talk to him.

She was rushed to the CWM Hospital where she later died.

Investigation continues.
