Charges have been laid against a 36-year old farmer who is alleged to have caused the death of a 5-year-old boy on Tuesday in Naitasiri .

The accused has been charged with one count of dangerous driving occasioning death and one count of failing to comply with requirements following an accident.

He has been remanded by the Nasinu Magistrates Court.

The matter will be called in Nausori Magistrates court next week.
