Fiji Chamber of Commerce and Industry vice president, Nouzab Fareed says while some companies have taken a lead in adapting to new technologies, other businesses need to do the same.

Fareed says this will be a major topic of discussion during the Business 2025 forum that will take place on Saturday.

He says in the future everything will be paperless and digitalised and businesses need to ensure their workers familiarise to this.

”Some of the FHL group companies already do trans active banking. Basically, we don’t write cheques, if we are supposed to pay a supplier, we actually transfer the money from our bank account to their account. It’s already happening but in a very small way. So we want to know in future, in another eight years’ time, where we are going.”

Fareed says Fiji has undergone major transitional changes over the years and business must keep up to date.
