Family members of a 12 year old boy who died in a fire yesterday are waiting for authorities to release his body.

Under the Islamic belief, deceased persons must be laid to rest as soon as possible.

However in this case, authorities are awaiting a post mortem before the young boy’s body is handed to his family.

He was trapped in his house as it was engulfed in fire early yesterday morning.

His elder brother has also suffered severe burns while the youngest of the 3 siblings has minor injuries.

The three brothers were asleep in their lean-to house made of corrugated iron and timber when the fire started at about 3.30am.
