Family members of 58-year-old Ashraf Razak Ali are getting anxious as they await the release of his body five -days after the horrendous attack at Al Noor Masjid in Deans Avenue Christchurch.
His family members in New Zealand confirm they are still waiting.
Meanwhile, family members in Fiji are also planning to hold special prayer to observe the funeral.
His grandson, Mohammed Iftikar Ali says his family spoke to his grandfather on Thursday, a day before the terrorist attack.
In his last conversation, his Grandfather was happy to be with his family in New Zealand.
“I spoke to him on Thursday. Whenever he was around I used to feel more relaxed. He used to take care of everything. I really miss him that I could talk to him the day he went for his jummah prayers in Christchurch but the night before on Thursday most of my family spoke with him but I was out at the taxi base.”
Ali commonly known as Babu had gone to New Zealand a week prior to the shooting.
Meanwhile, families of 61-year-old Razak Ali are also awaiting the release of his body.
