Faith will help make decision: Loy

The Archbishop Elect Father Peter Loy has encouraged all eligible voters to rely on their faith in order to make sound decisions on the future of Fiji.

Father Loy says, every Fijian should exercise their right and have a say in the 2014 general elections.
He says people should look to their respective religions to help them make informed decisions on the political future Fijians dream of.

“The thing we would encourage people when it comes to voting that they go and vote and make their voices be heard make their vote count.”

Father Loy believes faith alone will give voters a better understanding of different political beliefs.

“Our vote will be influenced by our faith out church teachings that we will be able to evaluate the different parties their policies their priorities in light of our faith and from there we make our choice.”

A draft constitution has been handed to the President Ratu Epeli Nailatikau and will be put before a Constituent Assembly for further deliberation.
