“I came to this school and was a part of it for a very short time, then I moved to Suva Grammar School. But this is a school that I can say is close to my heart, because I came out of the village, from lifting coconuts and speaking in a Lauan dialect. I came straight here to Veiuto and it’s a school that established me as I began to move into education and the urban environment.”

The school hopes to raise $30, 000 for the education of students and upkeep of the school, from week-long planned events.

Former students of the Suva Grammar School who pursued their primary education at Veiuto Primary School turned up in numbers to help raise funds for the school yesterday.
