Tropical cyclone Evan is further moving away from Fiji and toward New Zealand.

TC Evan was located 220km to the South of Nadi and 150km South west of Kadavu at ten this morning.

Director Meteorology, Alipate Waqaicelua says it’s starting to get weak and the strong wind is expected to be gradually out by tomorrow.

There is a flood warning to low lying areas in the Central Division.

“At this point we would like to advise the public that a flood warning is still in force for these rivers and the nearby low lying areas of Nayavu river, Navolau, Nabukaluka, Nairukuruku and the Rewa river and so the delta of Nausori, this includes you and we encourage everyone to take heed of these warnings.”
