Residents on River Road, Nerere Suva were surprised to wake up to at least two feet of water in their homes.

One resident told FBC News that they had to move to higher grounds by wading through about five feet of water.

DISMAC office is urging people to exercise safety and not to allow children to go in fast moving waterways.
