The National Disaster Management says evacuation centers are ready and on standby in the four regions as Tropical Cyclone Winston heads towards Fiji group.

The National Disaster Management office director Akapusi Tuifagalele has advised the country to prepare while there is still daylight.

“In the past, we have had used about 600 of them. The list we will be sent out to the media so that you can inform the communities. So the school managers are ready, around the clock around Fiji for the four divisions. Also people know where they go to because this is not the first time we have had it. And the schools are being used-the managers are being informed so they are also ready. Evacuation centers are ready.”
