The Consumer Council is urging bus operators and e-ticketing service providers to ensure receipts printed by e-ticketing machines are readable.
Board chair, Raman Dahia says blank or misprinted receipts cannot be tolerated and this indicates that consumer’s right of information is not taken seriously.
Dahia says consumers will have no knowledge of their balance if receipts are unreadable.

He says LTA enforcement officers also require these receipts when conducting checks.
