Escapee Sakiusa Basa Viaviaturaga has been arrested.

Police confirm Viaviaturaga was arrested in Kadavu this morning by a team of police officers and villagers of Dravuwalu

Chief of Operations ACP Rusiate Tudravu says Viaviaturaga also had in his possession more than six hundred plants believed to be marijuana.

The Fiji Police Force extends its appreciation to the people of Dravuwalu for their assistance and cooperation.

Tudravu says this is an example of the police community partnership that they continue to advocate adding it is encouraging to note that people are being proactive and curbing illegal activities from within their communities.
