Escapee John Harish Lal who had escaped from Police custody in late May has been caught.

Lal was arrested this morning by a team of police officers at Jittu Estate.

Also under arrest is a taxi driver who is alleged to have been harboring Lal since his escape. Both are currently in Police custody.

Lal is believed to have been involved in a number of aggravated robbery cases since he had been on the run.

As the two continue to be questioned, Police say they will not take the issue of those harboring escapees lightly.

Investigators are also looking into those who have been helping Lal evade Police since his escape.
