Maleli Vinakasigadua who escaped from the Nadi Police Station last week
appeared in the Nadi Magistrates Court yesterday.

He has been remanded in custody and will appear again on Monday.

Vinakasigadua was one of the three remand prisoners who escaped on November
13th by cutting through iron rods at the Nadi Police Station.

Police Officers had to carry him to court and there were visible injuries on
his body.

The second escapee Daniel Thomas who was caught with Vinakasigadua is still
admitted in hospital.

Nacanieli Bakata, the third escapee is still on the run
