The equal distribution policy of lease money will continue says Acting Prime Minister Aiyaz Sayed-Khaiyum.

He adds they have received positive feedback from landowners about the policy and are now more than happy as the money goes directly to them.

Sayed-Khaiyum says landowners will continue to reap the benefits of their land and the government will ensure that everyone has a fair share.

“One of the landowning units that received about 340 thousand dollars, in fact, have only eight adults in their landowning units so it’s a huge win for landowners who are receiving this money directly.”

The massive pay-out to Pine landowners is the culmination of solid management over the past six years and the huge input from the current government.
