Entrepreneurs hunt for SDG based innovative solutions

It’s important to encourage and empower young leaders, innovators and entrepreneurs to design and implement their ideas and business modules.

This was highlighted by Assistant Youth Minister Alipate Nagata while officiating the Youth Co: Lab Fiji in Suva – placing more emphasis that today’s generation should be encouraged to contribute effectively to the economy.

Nagata says 20 entrepreneurs have been given the opportunity to network with stakeholders expand their businesses using sustainable development goals.

“Such an initiative represents empowerment and development with its known objectives aimed to foster dialogue between youth, government, private sector, academia and other stakeholders in order to identify priority issues and actions for development of the innovation and entrepreneurial ecosystems.”

Co: Lab aims to establish a common agenda for countries in the Asia-Pacific region to empower and invest in youth, to accelerate the implementation of the SDGs through leadership, social innovation and entrepreneurship.
