A large number of Fijians turned up at the Damodar City carpark in Suva last night to witness the Mirchi FM/ Radio Fiji Two Disco Dandiya and Garba night.

Fiji Broadcasting Corporation’s Team Leader Events Ruby Solanki says the event was a success as it showcased the talents of many young people.

Solanki also says it was overwhelming to see Fijians of various ethnicity coming together to enjoy and celebrate with them.

“One of the main aims of this event is spreading goodwill. We just wanted to get everyone together and enjoy a fun filled entertainment with good music.”

Meanwhile, the Dandiya and Garba are both traditional folk dance forms which have originated from the state of Gujarat.
