The Education Ministry is currently dealing with the enormous level of distrust within its operations.
Minister Aiyaz Sayed-Khaiyum says this has been an ongoing issue from the past administrations and they will remove these past practices.
In highlighting issues concerning the Ministry, Sayed-Khaiyum says he is unhappy with some of the ways in which teachers are handled.
“This are new teachers that have been recruited had to get their appointment letters to the Marela House and I called them in and I said why is this, why can’t the appointment letters be given by the district education officers”
Sayed-Khaiyum says there are other issues concerning the Ministry which they need to change and teachers have to bear with them as reforms are ongoing.
