Engineered Design – a company that gave the approval for the construction of the WG Friendship Plaza on McGregor Road in Suva, will hold a press conference with the WG Construction Company today.
Engineered Design’s Principal Engineer Vijay Krishnan says they will provide details and clarification on the claims that have been made against the Plaza.
Krishnan told FBC News that procedures were followed to design and modify the building to suit the local condition.
Meanwhile, WG International Real Estate Company’s Project Vice General Manager, William Wu confirmed the company did not receive any stop order on the construction of the building.
“MITD just sent a letter requiring material test there was nothing like stop notice they just sent a letter regarding material test”¬
The Plaza will feature Fiji’s biggest warm water swimming pool together with a two storey basement.
The thirty storey Plaza which is said to become the tallest building in Fiji and the South Pacific is expected to be completed next year.
