Hundreds of people crowded the first ever national job fair that began in Suva this morning.

Employment Minister Parveen Kumar says this Job Fair will empower youths with new knowledge and skill sets.

He says the fair will enable them to be easily absorbed into the workforce.

The Minister says it also provides an opportunity to interact directly with potential employers.

He has also urged employers to work with the government to provide more work attachments for the unemployed Fijians to gain the necessary work experience.
