Global warming affects not only the environment but also poses a threat to employees as they might lose their jobs.

Employment minister Jone Usamate highlighted that due to increasing temperatures, workplaces are becoming more risky and unsafe.

Usamate says increasing quantity of greenhouse gases may lead to the closure of some businesses.

“As we are moving towards getting system to reduce carbon emissions there will be some industries that die down and some may rise and we need to identify those industries.”

Usamate says his ministry is working towards identifying existing industries to create a better working environment in light of the effects of climate change brought on my increased global warming.
