Ellington Wharf to be operational next Thursday

The Fiji Roads Authority says work started over the weekend and is expected to be completed next Wednesday.

Repairs on Ellington wharf in Rakiraki are still underway.

The Fiji Roads Authority says work started over the weekend and is expected to be completed next Wednesday.

The FRA adds the wharf closure is being extended to remove hidden obstructions and to implement construction which will protect the temporary structure from failure.

The Authority has met relevant stakeholders and operators to incorporate some of their suggestions into the action plan.

Demolition and excavation will be completed today with boulder installation to begin tomorrow

Ellington Jetty is expected to reopen next Thursday.
