It was a historic achievement for eleven students who just completed their Agriculture studies in Nausori as they received commercial agriculture leases from the government yesterday.

Attorney General, Aiyaz Sayed-Khaiyum says the students now have a ninety-nine year commercial agriculture lease.

He says farming hasn’t always been seen as a modern day profession or a financially viable proposition, however these lease hand-out can be a way to encourage young Fijians to get into farming.
