A family at Volivoli in Rakiraki is living in fear as an electric pole has almost fallen onto the roof of their house.

The powerline is still live.

Avikash Singh says the pole began to lean about an hour ago and they’ve been trying to contact the Fiji Electricity Authority ever since.

Four other neighbouring families have already moved to higher ground due to flooding.
