Electoral preparation process ahead of schedule: Saneem

October 19, 2018 12:40 am

The entire electoral preparation is ahead of schedule with the Electoral Commission taking only a day as opposed to the three allocated days to deliberate on candidate objections and appeals earlier this week.

Supervisor of Elections – Mohammed Saneem says this has meant they’ve been able to put in place a number of initiatives at least 48 hours ahead of schedule.

“The postal packing will also start maybe Friday night or Saturday morning, basically what I’m saying is that the Electoral Commission’s decision that came two days early has allowed us to move the entire electoral preparation process two days ahead.”
