An elderly couple of Nasole, Nasinu are scared for their lives after being assaulted and robbed early this morning.
Four men broke into the home of Indar Singh and his wife at about 2am armed with pinch bars.
They then put knives to their throats and threatened their lives.
Singh told FBC News that one of the men stayed with them in the bedroom while 3 others ransacked their house.
“For half an hour they looted and took everything they wanted; they emptied the hand bags, my wallet, my watch, Vodafone and chocolates everything they took. All of our clothes they took and money – there’s nothing left in the house.”
Every time the couple tried to speak, they were beaten with the pinch bars used to break into the home.
73 year old Singh and his wife Sashi Lata had just returned from the United States visiting their daughter.
The matter has been reported to the Police and an investigation is now underway.
