Another minivan passenger who was involved in the Nabou accident in Sigatoka last weekend has passed away.

Police Spokesperson Jokatama Qio has confirmed Joseph Underwood who was in a critical condition and was on life support until yesterday died this morning.

Underwood is the eighth victim of the tragic accident involving a Grace Road truck which collided head on with a minivan carrying students and former scholars of Ratu Navula College from Nadi.

Underwood was a Year 11 student at Korovuto College.

Meanwhile, seven people remain admitted at the Lautoka hospital’s Trauma Ward.

Police say they are still investigating the accident as it was one of the most horrific one in recent time.
