Economy Minister, Aiyaz Sayed-Khaiyum has urged the Energy Fiji Limited to invest more in its infrastructure.

Sayed-Khaiyum says infrastructural development is vital in running a modern nation state like Fiji.

Sayed-Khaiyum says the company must look at new innovation, however transparency is also important for more development.

“You don’t have a redundancy line from Nadarivatu to Suva and into Vuda, you need to have a redundancy line, if one line goes out the other should pick up on it.”

He says the company should also make use of the enormous opportunity to expand within the region.
