The Energy Fiji Limited has connected over sixty thousand Fijians to the National Grid in the last three years.

Chair, Daksesh Patel says this is inclusive of both urban and rural households throughout the country.

Patel says along with this, EFL has reduced carbon emission of two hundred thousand tonnes in the last three years.

He adds this is part of EFL’s Environmental Management programme to rely less on fuel and more on renewable energy.

The Chair also says these projects are in line with government’s vision of achieving close to 100% renewable energy by 2030.

Taking heed of EFL’s environmental responsibilities, the Energy Company has also invested two hundred million dollars of capital expenditure in the last three years on upgrading all its aging assets.
