More than eight-hundred Energy Fiji Limited staff will receive their performance management payout this week.

The salary and wage earners will receive their payout on Friday while the management will be paid on Monday.

Economy Minister Aiyaz Sayed-Khaiyum says the performance payout of over one point nine million dollars will be for the 2018 financial year.

“The performance payout is $1.95 million. Of this in excess of 70 percent goes to the salary and wage earners which is about $1.4 m, the unit leaders than get the balance together with the executive management”

Energy Fiji Limited Chief Executive Hasmukh Patel says the payout to 813 staff is based on key performance indicators.

“So the entire organization is performance-oriented. We want to make sure they perform and everyone gets their share of the cake.”

The Economy Minister has urged the EFL staff members to know about their organization.

He adds EFL also needs to invest in training their staff.
