A good cane delivery was made with the help of several machines being used to harvest cane on flat lands despite the shortage of cane cutters in Rakiraki.

The Sugar Corporation says they are satisfied with the current cane deliveries by lorries from Rakiraki to the Rarawai Sugar mill.

Chief operating officer, Navin Chandra says cane farmers in Rakiraki have been doing their best to ensure cane is harvested and sent to the mill for crushing on time.

Meanwhile, Chandra says if cane farmers are faced with any cane delivery delays, they must inform the FSC.
