We respect the government’s decision and we will continue to work with them in appointing heads of schools.

This is the stand from the Seventh Day Adventist Church of Fiji regarding the appointment of Head Teachers and Principal of religious schools who aren’t affiliated with the church.

Speaking to FBC News, SDA Fiji General Secretary Pastor Joe Talemaitoga says they will support the government in building a more knowledgeable society and at the same time provide quality education for students.

“We are not in a business of closing schools, the Seventh Day Adventist are opening schools, churches health, and wellness centers and in fact, we are opening another school in Suva and we believe the church with the government can be partners in building a nation.”

Talemaitoga says they will continue to work with the government in trying to reach an amicable solution.
