Interactive projectors to be installed in schools: Akbar

The Education Ministry will soon be installing interactive projectors in twenty primary and secondary schools around the country.

Minister Rosy Akbar says technology is now used to create smart learning environment.

She adds the interactive projectors has been provided by the Australian government.

Akbar says they’re preparing a workforce of highly skilled Fijians in line with future industry demand in particular for the new growth sectors.

“Teachers will also receive training and technology enabled learning to support their adaptation to this innovation.”

Meanwhile, she adds that outdoor modems have also being installed in schools with poor, intermittent or no internet connections.

The Education Ministry together with the Australian Government are working together to install these modems for better coverage and more stable connections.
