Amar Singh has become the first ever Doctor of Philosophy graduate for the University of Fiji.
46-year-old Amar Singh has become the first ever Doctor of Philosophy graduate for the University of Fiji.
Speaking yesterday during a private lunch at the campus in Saweni, Dr. Singh says it was a very challenging three years to reach his lifetime goal.
Dr. Singh is also employed at Fiji Airways as the Manager Network Planning.
“While I had the intention to peruse my PHD for a very long time the fear of failure, balancing time between work, party time teaching, travelling from Lautoka to work at Fiji Airways, managing commitment and taking out time to study prevented me from taking that bold step.”
The father of two developed his thesis on the Sugarcane Industry.
Dr. Singh also acknowledged his family, friends and work colleagues for their continuous support.
Meanwhile, it took the University of Fiji 14 years to achieve their PHD programs.
