More than $300 million have been invested in the Tertiary Education Loan Scheme since its inception in 2014.

“It’s a good thing going forward. The government has increased our budget. We have about $300 million that will fund these scholarships and loans, obviously the new people into the system and the existing people.”

Meanwhile, the Fiji Revenue and Customs Service have revealed that students have been complying with repayments.

TELS is payable once the recipient of the scheme starts working following graduation.
