The Education Ministry has instructed all secondary school teachers to prepare Year 12 and 13 students for the final exams.

Acting Permanent Secretary Basundra Kumar says students must realise that this final school term is important if they want to get financial assistance for tertiary studies.

Teachers in secondary schools are devoting all their time in preparing the students for the examination together with that we have provided advisory to the schools for the TELS and Toppers scholarship and loans scheme. And we have encouraged our schools to compete with students getting over three hundred marks so that they can qualify for the Toppers. Only six hundred students will be given that scholarship.
