Acting Prime Minister Aiyaz Sayed-Khaiyum has reminded parents that education is a most important asset that one can give to their children.

Sayed-Khaiyum says education is a priority for the Bainimarama government and they invest over half a billion dollars in this sector.

Speaking at the annual prize giving ceremony at the Narere Primary School in Nasinu he said Fiji will be transformed in the next five years with skilled workers graduating from technical colleges.

“We believe in the future… these children here are the future. One day one of them will probably be standing up here, one day one of them will be a school teacher, somebody will be a pilot, somebody will be a very good carpenter, somebody can be a very good farmer, somebody can be a politician or a businessman or businesswoman. No job is too small.”

Sayed-Khaiyum also reminded students to take pride in Fiji and become responsible students.
