Easter brings message of love

April 2, 2015 3:42 pm

Christians today attended various services to celebrate the great sacrifice of Jesus Christ – the brutal crucifixion of Christ for the atonement of the sins of mankind.

President of the Methodist Church in Fiji Rev Tevita Nawadra said his sermon was one of love.

“My sermon was the love of God. All this was the attempt by God himself to bring us together and join humanity to God himself and the way to do it was through that painful death Jesus went through.”

He also tried to give people, who were not necessarily Christians, a message of hope and peace.

“I was trying to reach those who think that life is closed to them because of no job, difficulties in education and family, Jesus has opened the door – there is hope for everyone.”
