Fijians travelling to work this morning were treated by Fiji Broadcasting Corporation staff delivering Eid sweets at various traffic junctions in Suva.

Cruickshank says it was a lovely time to share what Eid Mubarak meant to Muslims.

“Today we did it for Eid so it’s like a happy Eid, Eid Mubarak, and blessed Eid so it’s just basically creating that feeling of a multi-cultural society where everyone is expecting of each other’s religions. So I think this is a good thing because it creates peace.”

Eid sweets were given at the Kinoya Junction, Ivi triangle in Suva and the Laucala Bay junction.

A similar event is also held by FBC during Easter and Diwali celebrations.
