Kiwanis Club paid a visit to the children of the Colonial War Memorial hospital to hand out Christmas gifts this afternoon.
The Club is part of a larger international volunteer organisation that is dedicated to improving the world, one child and one community at a time.
Members of the newly established club dressed up in Christmas colours to spread some cheer of the season as we countdown to Friday.
Club President Ulamila Fa Tuituku says they are pleased to put smiles on the children’s faces today.
“Assisting the children of the world and in Fiji and in particular in Suva, we know that a lot of children that come to the hospital at this time of the year that come from needy families and we feel that by contributing to their Christmas it will make them feel a little better.”
The Club has plans to partner with the Education Ministry next year on other projects aimed at assisting children.
