E-ticketing agencies meet with AG to discuss issues

A lot of concerns have been raised about the compulsory e-ticketing system that was launched by the government yesterday.

A press conference is currently underway at the office of the Attorney General in Suva to discuss this.

The Fiji Bus Operators Association, Land Transport Authority, Vodafone Fiji Ltd and the Consumer Council representatives are present at the meeting.

The Fiji Bus Operators Association held an emergency meeting this morning and has told FBC News they will discuss the meetings outcome during the press conference.

The Consumer Council has also confirmed to FBC News they received numerous calls from the public complaining about the implementation of the e-ticketing system and issues faced with e-cards since this morning.
