Drug trafficking case adjourned

Australian national Joseph Nayek Nabourizk and Josese Muriwaqa appeared in the Lautoka High Court yesterday in relation to drug trafficking charges.

Defence lawyer Aman Singh says they have not received full disclosures but once thats done, they are hoping for an early trial date.

The matter has been adjourned to the 21st of August.

The two men were allegedly found in possession of about 50 kilograms of cocaine with a street value of over $15 million.

Their vehicle was stopped and searched near Vuda Marina in Nadi last month where the alleged drugs were found.
